WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Catherine Rita Robinson, 86, of 40 Arnold St. died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Williamstown Commons, after a three-year battle with cancer.
Born in Williamstown on Aug. 14, 1927, daughter of George Robinson Sr. and Anna Lefebvre Robinson, she attended local schools.
Miss Robinson was last employed by at the former PhoTech mill in Williamstown for 14 years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick & Raphael. She loved animals and enjoyed trips to the casino.
She leavers her sister, Evelyn Robinson of Williamstown; two nephews and one niece, James J. Robinson, John A. Robinson and Judith A. Robinson; five grandnieces and grandnephews; a great-grandniece and great grandnephew; her sister-in-law, Lena A. Robinson of Pittsfield, and her beloved cat, Baby.
Her two brothers Lawrence Robinson and George Robinson Jr. predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Miss Robinson will be celebrated Wednesday, April 30, at 10 from St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to PopCares or the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
