Constance A. Sweet, 69

December 26, 2014

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Constance A. Sweet, 69, of Sloan Road died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014.

Born on in Ludlow on Feb. 14, 1946, daughter of Frank and Jane Zaranek Meloveck, she spent her childhood in Stockbridge.

Mrs. Sweet was employed by Williams College in its food service department, retiring in 2008. She had earlier worked at the Marion Fathers in Stockbridge and the former Green Mountain Race Track in Pownal Vt.

She enjoyed playing the organ and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching sports with her husband and spending the day at Off-Track Betting. She always rooted for the Mount Greylock Regional School baseball team and the New York Yankees. Her favorite player was Derek Jeter. Her love for animals brought a special bond between her and her cat, Sebastian "Sy" Sweet.

A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Sweet had a selfless love and devotion to her family and will be greatly missed.

She married the love of her life, Norman E. Sweet Jr., on Nov. 1, 1974. They had 40 years of love and happiness.

Besides her husband, she leaves her son, Norman E. Sweet III and his wife, Michele; three stepsons, William Sweet, Michael Sweet and Jonathon Sweet; three grandchildren, Lydia Eisenbrandt, Kamryn Sweet and Addyson Sweet; her uncle, Henry Meloveck, and many close family and friends.

She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald J. Meloveck.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services for Mrs. Sweet will be held at a later date for family and friends. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Berkshire Humane Society through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
