WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Russell Dennis Rancourt, 63, of 1165 North Hoosac Road died on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Adams on Nov. 23, 1951, a son of Victor and Frances Little Rancourt, he attended schools in North Adams, graduating from McCann Technical School.
Mr. Rancourt worked for many years at the former MacDermid Printing Solutions in Adams as a quality inspector for manufacturing.
He enjoyed collecting vintage guitars and amplifiers. He played the electric base and electric guitar. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was a life member of the Harley Owners Group.
He leaves his wife, the former Carol A. LaPlante, whom he married on June 30, 1989 in Williamstown; his daughter, Jennifer Civello and her husband, Nick, of North Adams, and his two grandchildren, Jayna and Alyson.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Rancourt will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m. at Sherman Burbank Chapel in Williamstown.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Jan. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. In lieu of flowers donations, may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
