WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Nora May Boschetti Oakes, 93, of Williamstown died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on Oct. 13, 1921, a daughter of Louis and Jessie Garner Blake, she attended schools in Williamstown.
Mrs. Oakes was employed by Williams College in the Buildings and Grounds Department until retiring in 1986. She also had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.
She was a longtime communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick & Raphael and a 64-year member of the Richard A. Ruether Post 152 American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary.
Her first husband, Lawrence Boschetti, died in 1958.
Her husband, Howard Oakes, died on March 7, 2005.
She leaves her loving daughter and son, Beverly Haley and her husband, Robert E. Haley, of Williamstown and David Boschetti his wife, Lorraine, of Adams; her brother, John Blake of Williamstown, and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, James Oakes and Lawrence T. Boschetti, and two brothers, Louis Blake Jr. and Harry Blake.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Private services for Mrs. Oakes will take place at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested for the Parish of Sts. Patrick & Raphael or the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
