Samuel F. Vince Jr., 81

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Samuel Francis Vince Jr., 81, of 717 Henderson Road died Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Born in Williamstown on April 25, 1934, son of Samuel F. and Emma Rondeau Vince, he attended Williamstown schools.

Mr. Vince was last employed by the town of Williamstown as its wire inspector for 19 years until his retirement this year. Prior to that, he worked as a licensed master electrician with Greylock Electric and several other contractors for 40 years.

He was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He and his wife, the former Marilyn Nutting, were married on June 30, 1956.

Besides his wife of nearly 59 years, he leaves a daughter, Kimberly A. Cyr and her husband, Daniel, of North Adams; a son, Christopher F. Vince and his fiancée, Kellee Aubin, of North Adams; a sister, Priscilla Ricker of Athens, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Gregory, Douglas, Alyssa, and Amaya; three great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Carter and Sierra, and two nieces, Linda and Debbie in Tennnessee.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Vince will be celebrated Monday, June 15, at 11 at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to POPCares in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247.
