Maisie M. Pierce, 96

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Maisie Marion Pierce, 96, of Williamstown, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Williamstown Commons.

Born in North Adams on Jan. 10, 1920, daughter of Jeremiah and Grace Duxbury Rohane, she attended local schools.

In her younger years, Mrs. Pierce worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.

She was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the former St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams. She also was a member of the Friendship Club and enjoyed reading.

Her husband, William Pierce, whom she married on May 2, 1942, died Dec. 11, 1984.

She leaves a daughter, Patricia Dickinson and her husband, Hugh, of Williamstown; two grandchildren, Kelly Kozik and her husband, Michael, and Ryan Dickinson and his wife, Jenna; four great-grandchildren, Aidan Kozik, Kaelyn Kozik, Riley Dickinson and Brady Dickinson; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  

Her granddaughter, Deanna Dickinson, died on Dec. 9, 1983; she also was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters, including the Rev. Milton Alan RohaneRobert Rohane, George Rohane and Walter Rohane.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Pierce will be private and burial will be in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Autism Speaks in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.

Pat and family: I remember your Mom so well from our younger years and then when I saw her again when you moved to N. Hoosic Rd. You devoted your time to her and am sure you will miss her terribly. Prayers to you Pat. Take care.
