WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Gloria (St. Cyr) Card, 85, of Williamstown died Monday April 25, 2016, at BayState Medical Center.
She was born in North Adams on August 5, 1930, daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Miller) St. Cyr. She attended Williamstown schools and graduated from the Williamstown High School with the class of 1948.
Gloria was a devoted mother and homemaker to her family. After her children were grown, she worked at the Williamstown Savings Bank for 10 years.
She was a member of the White Oaks Congregational Church and its Mary Martha Society. She also served as den mother and Brownie leader for scouting troops in Williamstown.
She was the widow of William E. Card, who died on June 27, 2006. They were married on August 28, 1948.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Garbarsky of Williamstown and Kathleen Risatti of Pownal, Vt.; two sons, Michael Card of Williamstown and James Card of Cumberland, R.I.; seven grandchildren including Michael Card, Jennifer Bernhardt, Melissa Stecura, Jason Card, Joshua Card, Danny Risatti and Matthew Card; and one great-grandchild, Julliette Stecura.
Her son, Jeffrey Card, died on November 8, 2011.
Funeral notice: The funeral for Gloria Card will be Friday, April 29, 2016, at 11 a.m. at White Oaks Congregational Church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 28, from 5-7 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
