Marguerite LaPine, 90

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Miss Marguerite "Peggy" LaPine, 90, of Williamstown died on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in Springfield, Mass., on October 13, 1926, daughter of the late Horace and Eva (Davignon) LaPine. She attended schools in Springfield and North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1944. She then went on to earn her Associates degree with honors from Becker College in Worcester, graduating in 1946.
Miss LaPine worked as a course developer for the former New England Telephone Company Learning Center in Marlboro, Mass., until retiring in February 1983 after 36 years. After retirement, Peg volunteered for the North Adams and Williamstown Public Libraries as well as the former North Adams Regional Hospital.
She is survived by many loving cousins, including Helen Vedder of Schoharie, N.Y., and her children, Mimi Scolaro and Richard Vedder and her cousin Ed LaPine of California; and her longtime friend Debbra Rotolo.
