Mary Ann (Kozak) Ellsworth, 99

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Mary Ann (Kozak) Ellsworth, 99, a longtime resident of Williamstown, died on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Sweetbrook Care Center in Williamstown.



She was born on September 6, 1917, in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter to the late Louis and Victoria (Czech) Kozak. She attended schools in Adams, Mass. She was employed at Sprague Electric and then for 25 years at General Cable, retiring in 1982.



Mrs. Ellsworth was a communicant of Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church and active in the Friendship Club at the Harper Center in Williamstown.



Mrs. Ellsworth married her husband, Harold Ellsworth, on July 12, 1940. He died on November 29, 1979.



Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Bump of Williamstown and Kathy Sheldon of Springhill, Fla.; a son, Daniel Ellsworth of Pittstown, N.Y.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, August Kozak; and two sisters, Ophelia Richards and Jessie Hospod.



She was predeceased by a daughter, Jane Tremblay, who died in 2001; and a sister and brother, Ann Clermont and Walter Kozak.



Funeral notice: The family of Mary Ellsworth will gather at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown.



Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick's Food Pantry or the St's Partick and Raphael Church Building Fund through the funeral home.

It is with our deepest sympathy to the entire Ellsworth family on the passing of our dear Aunt Mary. To Barb, Dan, and all family members we are sorry for our absence yet please know that we were there in thought and prayer. She will live on in our hearts with our fond memories. To all the family, we send our condolences. She was a lovely, sweet lady. We met her several times at the Bump family house parties.
