WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — A service for Marie Pauline Giroux, 88, of Williamstown, Mass.,who died December 22, 2016, at Williamstown Commons, will be held Friday, April 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on September 19, 1928, daughter of James Clifford and Bessie (Jones) Giroux. She attended Williamstown schools and graduated from the Williamstown High School.
Marie was employed by Cornish Wire Co. for 40 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed walking, riding her bicycle and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Norman F. Quinn Jr. and his wife, Michele, of Pownal, Vt., and Bruce P. Quinn and his wife, Regina, of Williamstown; her granddaughter, Shauna Lowe and her husband, Carl; and nieces and nephews.
Her brother, Clifford Giroux, is deceased.
Funeral notice: A graveside service for Marie Giroux will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the Flynn and Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 74 Marshall Street, North Adams.
I got to be friends with Marie after she lost her home at The Spruces, and I certainly miss her. I didn't know about the memorial service or I would certainly have attended.
