Nancy I. Blaisdell

Nancy Irene Blaisdell, 63, of 90 Bachand Ave. died Sunday at home.
Born in Adams on Feb. 16, 1938, daughter of Albert A. and Irene Brousso Duprey, she attended Adams schools, including the former Notre Dame Parochial School, and was a pro merito graduate of the former Adams High School in 1955.
She had resided in Springfield for several years and was employed by Westvaco Corp. from 1965 until 1986. She moved to North Adams in 1987 and was employed by several area attorneys as a legal secretary, specializing in real estate, until her retirement in 2000. She also was employed as a licensed real estate agent and was a notary public.
She enjoyed working on detailed crafts, and had built dollhouses. She also enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She leaves three sons, Michael D. Blaisdell of Lee, Maurice D. Blaisdell III of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mark D. Blaisdell of North Adams; a brother, Russell Duprey of Cheshire; two sisters, Elaine Gadebusch of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Shirley Gouger of North Adams; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. A brother and a sister are deceased, Robert Duprey and Jeanne Nadeau.
Funeral services are private and will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the family lot in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to United Cerebral Palsy or to Resources for Childcare in the Berkshires, in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
