WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Cheryl Jean LeClaire, 58, of Williamstown, Mass., died on Monday, October 7, 2019, at CareOne in Northampton, Mass.
She was born in Pittsfield, Mass., on March 28, 1961 a daughter of the late Ernest E. and Patricia (DeMarsico) LeClaire. She attended schools in Williamstown, graduating from Mt. Greylock High School with the Class of 1979 and she also attended Rochester Institute of Technology.
Cheryl was an avid outdoor enthusiast, spending much of her spare time hiking and canoeing throughout the local Berkshire area and in Arizona. Cheryl often brought her dog, Tucker, on hikes and walks around Williamstown. Cheryl was a strong supporter of animal rights and took care of many animals in her lifetime. Cheryl spent many years as a homemaker and artist; she was a proud mother of two sons and included them in her outdoor activities and introducing them to music and drama events as well as many museums throughout New England.
Survivors include her two sons at home, Jeremy and Tyler Ethier; as well as a brother, John LeClaire and his wife, Diane, of Bennington, Vt.; two sisters, Debra LaPlante and her husband, Marc, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Diane Stanton and her husband, John, of Amherst, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Cheryl LeClaire will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home, West Chapel, 521 West Main Street, North Adams, Mass. Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home.
