Willis Boyer, 79

December 17, 2020

Willis A. Boyer, 79, of Williamstown, MA died on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his home. He was born in North Adams, MA on September 7, 1941 a son of the late Armand E. Boyer and Irene (Chenail) Boyer. He attended schools in Williamstown and graduated Williamstown High School with the Class of 1960. He worked at Wall Streeter Shoe Factory and Photech. Willis retired from Dion Money Management.



Mr. Boyer was a communicant of Sts Patrick and Raphael Parish in Williamstown. He was very active in the Church Bazaar. He loved the Boston Red Sox. He was a devoted family man who cherished his wife, children and grandchildren.



Survivors include his wife, Claire (Levesque) Boyer who he married November 10, 1962 at Notre Dame Church in Adams. He leaves two daughters, Susan Boyer of Pittsfield, Jacqueline DeMarsico and her husband, John T. DeMarsico of North Adams. He also leaves his grandchildren; Christopher Koch and his fiancee Marissa Arigoni, Michaela LaPlante, Kayla DeMarsico and Tiffany DeMarsico as well as a sister, Priscilla Palmer and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Eileen Boyer.



FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Willis A. Boyer will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Sts Patrick and Raphael Parish in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. A calling hour will be held at the Church from 10a.m. until the time of the funeral. Sad to learn of the passing of my friend classmate and coworker Willis always had a lot of fun together one of my biggest memories is seeing Willis mow the steep bank in front of his house and the great effort he put into keeping it looking neat. my deepest sympathy and condolences to the family Willis.

Willis and I worked together at General Photo (Photech) a very long time ago. Willis always had a positive attitude and was a pleasure to work with, and to know. My sympathies to the family. He will be missed.
