Lois Rickert, 87

Lois (Lindley) Rickert, of Williamstown died on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in North Adams, on May 3, 1933 a daughter of the late George & Tressa (Estes) Lindley.



Lois graduated from Williamstown High School in 1951 and married Gerald “Gerry” Rickert on June 21, 1952, he died on February 3, 2018. Lois was employed at Rudnick Cleaners as a bookkeeper for four years. She assisted her husband in the operations of the family business Rickert Electric in Williamstown since its establishment in 1961. Lois was a lifetime member of White Oaks Congregational Church, in Williamstown. Lois held many positions including Sunday School Teacher, president of Mary and Martha Society, and treasurer for 25 years. She was head of Flower Committee and a Deaconess.



Lois took care of her mother until she passed away in 1999. Lois loved to work in her flower garden and did a lot of crafting throughout the years especially making things for the Church Bazaar each year in the fall.



Survivors include three children, David and his wife Lori of North Adams, Wendy Rosher and her husband Michael of Clifton Park, NY and Timothy and his wife Tammy of Williamstown. She also leaves her grandchildren, Daniel Rickert, Tracy Kelly, Julie Wheeler, Brian Rosher, Kyle Rosher, Tyler Rickert, Jill Rickert, 12 great grandchildren, brother, John Lindley of Pittsfield.



 



FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services for Lois Rickert will take place Saturday June 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the White Oaks Congregational. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, MA. Donations may be made to the White Oak Church through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home- CENTRAL Chapel 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
