Recollections & Sympathy For the Family
Post Comment
I got to know Richard through my work at the Harper Center. I enjoyed his sense of humor and, in quiet conversations, he shared fascinating stories about the world of travel. He seemed to exude contentment and appreciated simple pleasures. I recall one late August day when the corn was at its peak. Richard requested a ride to visit Chenail's Farm and we each went home with a dozen ears of corn. Another time, he sought the gentility of the Faculty Club and donning his best clothes, he invited me to share a special lunch. He spoke of his lovely girls often, remembering their growing years. My sympathies to you girls on the loss of your dad.
