Julia, or Mimi, as she was known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren was all about family. She lived for her family and was a constant presence in her children’s lives, always giving out hugs and kisses and checking on them.
Mike and Julia owned and operated the restaurant, the Four Acres, the grandchildren would forever be bringing their friends over to hang out, and meet Mimi. Mimi is well known and loved by many of the children that have grown up in Williamstown. She was a fierce presence in the kitchen where she would show the kitchen staff how to scrub the dishes over and over. If you worked in the kitchen, “tho she be little, she be fierce!”
In the front dining room – she was the gracious, warm hostess that would meet her regulars with a smile and hug. Coming to the Four Acres was like coming home to a warm kitchen, good food, family and friends. Julia's relationship with her sisters, brothers and extended family has always been exceptionally close. Holidays and occasions were celebrated by joining together, enjoying their Lebanese cooking and filling the rooms with noisy chatter and music. Julia's warm personality, kindness and sincerity will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
