WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Paula Moore Tabor, a beautiful and ever-vibrant spirit, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on Saturday, October 23, 2021. She was born on July 26, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio, as the daughter of Richard Moore and Anna Jeanne Bankhead Moore.
Paula carried a light that warmed every room, an energy that lifted all spirits, and a love that stretched far and wide. She was the beloved wife of Geoffrey Thomas Tabor, the dear mother of Anna Kelsey Tabor and Geoffrey Trenton Tabor, and an adored sister of Pamela (Moore) Williams and Richard Moore. She was affectionately known as Aunt PauPau to Arielle Williams Stegeman, Alexis Williams, Amir Williams, Vanessa Moore, and Miles Moore.
A resident of Williamstown, Massachusetts, Paula graduated from Seven Hills - Hillsdale in Cincinnati and earned a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Williams College in 1976. While at Williams, she spent a semester at Bibliotheca Hertziana in Rome, Italy studying 15th Century Art and Architecture which ignited her passion for world travel. In 1989, Paula received a Master’s Degree in Administration Planning and Social Policy from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She was then employed as the Director of Intercultural and Lifelong Learning and the Associate Director of Alumni Relations for Williams College where she led an impactful career for 21 years. Paula was also employed by Hoosac School in Hoosick, NY as a consultant for Advancement, as well as alumni, parent and special events, and international student recruitment. In 2015, she became the Director of Parent Engagement and Giving at Bennington College in Bennington, VT, then served as the Advancement Officer for the Major Gifts and Parent Leadership Giving Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Paula also served as Chair of the Fundraising Committee for the Hoosac School Parents Association.
A Celebration of Paula's Life will take place Saturday November 6, 2021 at the Williams Inn, Spring St. Williamstown, MA from 3-5 PM. To honor her radiant life, guests are invited to wear bright colors.
