WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Donna Mary Ducay et Bleezarde, 84, of Beaufort, SC, formerly of Williamstown, MA, and Pownal, Vt., died at a retirement home on April 22, 2022, in Beaufort, S.C., following a brief illness.
Born Sept. 20, 1937, in Stockbridge, the daughter of Kirby L. and Mary MacPherson Ducayet, she attended The Doane Stuart School in Rensselaer, NY, and graduated in 1959 from The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. She was married April 22, 1960, in Utica, NY, to Ronald F. Bleezarde of New Lebanon, NY, who died in 2017.
She was a founder and co-proprietor of Youthland, a children's apparel store in the Colonial Shopping Center in Williamstown, and later worked for the Williamstown National Bank.
Survivors are two sons, Eric (Robin) of Landings, NJ, and Mark (Julie) of Earleyville, MD; a daughter, Jennifer (Hector) Cajigas of Beaufort, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Donna is also survived by two brothers, Kirby Ducayet of Alpharetta, GA, and Wallace A. Ducayet of Breckenridge, CO, a sister, Marcelle Krazeski of Scottsdale, Ariz., and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Donna and Ronald Bleezárde are being planned in the Berkshires for later in the summer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Beaufort County.
