Nancy Jane Foss, 83

May 23, 2022

Longtime resident of Williamstown, MA Nancy Jane Foss (Nee Switzer) died Monday, May 23rd at Brookdale-Fillmore Pond in Bennington, VT at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Glenn A. Foss and mother of Brian Foss, the late Stephen Foss, and Sharon Bryan (Nee Foss). Nancy was a fifth-grade teacher in the North Adams City school district for many years and member of the First Baptist Church of Williamstown. Among her many interests, She was an avid reader and children’s literature enthusiast, she loved knitting, needlepoint, sewing projects, and was a dedicated swimmer for decades. Nancy shared her passion for education and her athleticism with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Carolyn MacKay, her son Brian, daughter Sharon, and three granddaughters: Elizabeth Bryan, Charlotte Bryan, and Devon Foss.



A private burial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Eastlawn Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church in Williamstown, MA. Friends and family are welcome.
