Beverly Boni, 85

July 05, 2022

Beverly Jean Boni, 85 years old, of Williamstown, Massachusetts passed away Tuesday July 5 at Berkshire Medical Center. A daughter of the late Eugene and Alice (Sprague) Davis, Bev was born in Readsboro, Vermont and graduated high school from Bennington High School. Following their marriage in 1957, Bev and her husband Joseph Cesare Boni lived in Virginia and Kansas before settling in Williamstown in 1962.

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, nothing gave Bev greater joy than being with her family. While summers were spent with the family on camping trips, year-round large family gatherings of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins were a frequent occurrence in her home. Her warmth and generosity of spirit impacted all who knew her. She led by example and so many people learned to live well because of her. She made everyone feel welcome.

Bev’s love of children brought her to take early childhood education classes at North Adams State College in preparation for her work as a preschool teacher and then the Director at the Little Red Schoolhouse in Williamstown where she worked for many years. As the physical demands of keeping up with 3-year-olds became challenging, Bev worked with disabled children at Mt. Greylock Regional High School before taking a position at Williams College in the Print Shop until her retirement.

Survivors include her son Joseph Boni, his wife Shiela, and their children Samantha, Zachary and Joey, her son Jeffrey Boni, his wife Susan and their daughter Jane, and her daughter Theresa Boni. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Cesare Boni, her sister Patricia Davis, and her brother William Davis.

Calling hours for Beverly J. Boni will take place Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, West Chapel, 521 West Main Street North Adams, Ma from 4-6 PM. Private services will take place Friday with burial to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, MA. Memorial donations are suggested for the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital through the funeral home. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.
