Diane Abruscato Perault
Diane passed away on May 5, 2023, with family and friends at her side. She was born in Norwalk, CT on March 7, 1948 to Nicholas John Abruscato and Barbara Ann Bogart Abruscato.
Diane married William Joseph Perault, Sr. on December 27, 1992 in Weston, CT and they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this past December.
Diane spent most of her career working for Willams College in the Office of Career Counseling and after “retirement” working in the college’s Museum of Art shop and for Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in the Billing Department. For many years, Diane was also the Managing Editor for The Review of Archaeology.
Diane brought light to this world and to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She always put others first and lived life with enthusiasm, passion, and joy. She showed kindness and compassion to creatures large and small. She was an amazing artist which could be seen in many facets of her life. Diane’s cooking skills were legendary and were always enjoyed by those who were lucky enough to dine with her and Bill.
In addition to her parents, Diane was pre-deceased by her son Richard Morsa and her sister Joan Abruscato Cloutier.
Diane is survived by her husband Bill; sister Michelle Abruscato; brother John Paul (Jape) Abruscato and his wife Peggy Knapp; stepson Bill Perault Jr. and his wife Maryann and their children Noah, Hannah and Emily; stepdaughter Michelle Perault; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at the The Williams Inn (101 Spring Street, Williamstown, MA) on Friday, May 12th from 2:30pm until 4:30pm.
