Joshua Michael Williams,36

July 23, 2023

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —  Joshua Williams 36, of Williamstown passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday July 23, 2023 following a short, but courageous, battle with cancer. He was born and raised in North Adams, MA. He graduated from McCann Technical metal fabrication program in 2006.

Josh always had a strong work ethic, working at locally owned companies and helping family and friends build and repair homes, including their mother’s home in Williamstown. Josh’s most recent employment was with Lenco Industries. When he wasn’t working, Josh enjoyed his downtime playing RuneScape and spending time with family and friends. He was especially fond of dogs, motorcycles, and a good home cooked meal.

The loving family he leaves behind includes his mother Angela Copeland and father Mark Williams, both of Williamstown, MA, his triplet brothers, James Williams and his wife Cassandra of Savoy, Jason Williams of Pownal, VT and Joe Williams and his fiancé Kayla Cutting and their son, Josh’s beloved nephew, Logan Williams of Williamstown, MA; his dear friend Erin Boyer of Williamstown and brother Mark Williams of Spring Hill, Fl. Maternal grandmother, Martha Schadler and her husband Hank, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Joshua was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Robert D. Copeland in November 2022. The Family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Care in the Berkshires for their care and support during Josh’s illness.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Josh will be on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4-7 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA, 01247. A private burial with the family will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 at Southview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to POPCARES, PO BOX 482, Williamstown, MA 01267.
