Virginia Rose (Briggs) Duteau, 92 of Williamstown, MA. died Friday July 26, 2024 at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield, MA. She was born in Adams on August 23, 1931 a daughter of the late Roy Ranville Briggs and Mary Ann (Wnuk) Briggs.



Virginia attended schools in Adams and was last employed at the Jarisch Paper Box Company. Before that she was employed at Cornish Wire Company. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, word search puzzles and was a devoted fan of the tv show CSI and actor Mark Harmon.



Her husband Roland Maurice Duteau whom she married March 23, 1974 died April 23, 2011. Survivors include her loving children Linda Huskins (Bob) of Cheshire, MA. Patricia Duteau (Rick) of North Adams, MA. Carmen LaCasse (Annette) of Lanesboro, MA. and Dennis Luczynski (Denise) of Goshen, MA., step children Diana Harrington of Missouri, Suzanne Bergeron of Florida, MA. and Richard Duteau of North Adams, MA. Virginia also leaves fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, brother Robert Briggs (Nola) of Adams, MA. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two grandsons Carmen LaCasse III, Colin LaCasse and two brothers Donald Briggs, Francis Briggs and two sisters Nellie Chalifoux and Patricia Sumner. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility for all the loving care they provided over the years.



Funeral services for Virginia Rose (Briggs) Duteau will be celebrated on Tuesday July 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. A Calling Hour will take place on Tuesday from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m. at the funeral home.
