Judith Mary Franzoni, 84

April 06, 2025

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —  Judith Mary Franzoni died on April 6, 2025 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in North Adams on October 15, 1940, the daughter of the late Claudio Geno Franzoni and Delia (Morin) Franzoni.

Judy attended Haskins School and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1959. She was employed by Sprague Electric for many years, retiring to care for her parents, with whom she made her home. Family was the most important thing to Judy.

Judy loved to travel. She enjoyed going to New York City to see Broadway shows as well as traveling abroad, including making nine trips to Italy to visit family.

Like her beloved brother, Judy loved to bowl. What she lacked in skill she made up for in enthusiasm. She was also a talented accordion player and enjoyed trips to the casino with her mother. Judy was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.

Judy was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Franzoni, whom she adored. Judy leaves her nephew, John R. Franzoni and his wife Ellen Sutherland of Pittsfield, MA as well as two nieces, Deborah O’Neill and her husband Steven of Queensbury, NY and Diana Murphy of South Glens Falls, NY. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Barbara Franzoni, of Queensbury, NY and her cousin, Marilyn Means of Stephentown, NY.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to Celebrate the life of Judy Franzoni will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. On Judy’s request, there will be no calling hours. The family wishes to thank the staff at Williamstown Commons and Hospice of the Berkshires for their support and care.
