Margaret T. Roth, 88

Margaret Teresa (St. Germain) Roth, 88, of Williamstown, a former longtime resident of Adams died on Wednesday May 7, 2025 at Williamstown Commons. She was born on May 8, 1936 in North Berwick, ME a daughter of the late Aime St. Germain & Blanche (Gagnon) St. Germain.



Margaret attended schools in Newport, NH and North Berwick, ME. She moved to Adams when she was 17 and was employed at Woolworth Department Stores on Park Street in Adams and then Sprague Electric Company. Margaret was last employed at Greylock Elementary School as a security guard at the front door.



Margaret was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Adams and enjoyed playing pool where she was known as a pool shark. She competed in tournaments and enjoyed going to casino’s, crocheting, gardening and drawing.



Margaret leaves her three daughters, Donna Senecal (Wayne) of North Adams, MA Jo Ann Powell of Pownal, VT and Michele Jones (Christopher) of Cape Cod and a son, David Powell of Easthampton, MA. She also leaves 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren. Margaret was the eldest of five children she leaves her sister Londa Mac Tavish. She was predeceased by a son, John Roth, and by her sisters Barbara Drobiak, Carol Rodick and a brother Richard St. Germain as well as grandson, Hunter Miller and great great grandchild, Ava Mirke.



FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral to celebrate the life of Margaret Roth will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home – WEST CHAPEL 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247. Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home.
