June 04, 2025

We are deeply saddened to share that Claire Eva (Levesque) Boyer, 84, of Williamstown, MA, died suddenly as the result of an automobile accident on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. She was born in Adams, MA on December 11, 1940, to the late Arthur Joseph and Anna Marie (Martel) Levesque.

Claire attended local schools and graduated from St. Joseph's High School in North Adams, MA with the class of 1959. Soon after, she was employed at Wall-Streeter Shoe Company where she met her husband, Willis Boyer. Claire and Willis were married November 10, 1962 until his passing in 2020.

Claire is survived by her loving daughters Susan Boyer Agosto (Jose) of Pittsfield, MA, and Jacqueline DeMarsico (John) of North Adams, MA, grandchildren Christopher Koch (Marissa), Michaela Staffin (Nate), Kayla DeMarsico, Tiffany DeMarsico, and two great granddaughters Blake Koch and Elliana Staffin whom she absolutely adored. She also leaves behind her brother Clovis Levesque of Enfield, CT and sister Diana Beaudin (Victor) of Pittsfield, MA. She is predeceased by her husband Willis A. Boyer and sisters Laurette Lyons and Victoria Martel.

Claire was a long-time communicant of Saints Patrick and Raphael Parish in Williamstown, MA where she sang in the choir and was very active in organizing the church bazaar.

When her children were young, she worked as a reading assistant at Greylock School. Later she was employed as a Senior Catalog/Government Documents Assistant at Williams College Library for 28 years before retiring. Claire was happiest when spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, sister, friends and extended family. She also enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, traveling, and making crafts. Her great grandchildren, Blake and Elliana, loved their Gigi more than words could describe. She lit up their lives and left a deep footprint on their hearts. She will be missed immensely by all who love her.
