Recollections & Sympathy For the Family

The first line of this obituary is such a perfect statement of who he was. Kind and gentle with all. He was a wonderful gym teacher considering some of us weren’t exactly athletes- he never made his students uncomfortable in that. We are so sorry for your loss but wanted to share how much we know that statement to be true. He was peaceful- and it was seen and appreciated by so many.

Kathleen, I am so sorry for your loss. I have no words. While you never met me, I met Gene, as his cousin and have been in contact with both Paul and Aunt Ursula before her demise. I hope you understand your loss is shared. I actually did send flowers. My father, Raymond recently had surgery and we were not sure he could make the trip. I hope you don't mind remembering the far flung factions of the Lepesqueur family from WI (Uncle Richard and Aunt Marie Elena) to DC. V/r, Michelle

Gene was a kind, gentle and caring friend. Twenty -five years ago, when he learned that I was planning to attend a Vietnam veterans reunion, he brought me a flag of the Republic of South Vietnam. I took that flag to the reunion and had it signed my many of my Army friends who also were in attendance. You have Katie and my condolences, Kathy.
