Florence E. Grover, 84

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —



Mrs. Florence Elizabeth (Anschultz) Grover, 84, of Williamstown, formerly of Adams and North Adams, died Tuesday morning, December 2, 2025 at North Adams Regional Hospital.



She was born in Holyoke, MA on September 19, 1941, daughter of George Anschultz and Lillian (Selb) Varno Mullen, and attended Adams schools.



Florence worked as a home health aide for many years and had also operated the former F & L Taxi Service in North Adams.



She was a former member of the Adams Post 160 American Legion Auxiliary, and enjoyed bingo, playing cards and spending time with her family.



Her husband, John Grover, Sr. died on April 7, 2005.



She is survived by her sons Lawrence Miller, Jr. and his wife Susan of North Adams, James Miller of North Adams, and John Miller of Lenox, MA; her daughter Tammy Miller and her partner Chris Wadsworth of Williamstown; her grandchildren Ashley Shade, Aaron Miller and his fiancé Stephanie Quinn, and Teyvon Notchick; great granddaughter Kyli Sky Quinn; brothers William Varno of Bennington, VT and Peter Varno and his wife Debbie of Adams; stepchildren Wayne Grover, John Grover Jr., Mellissa Grover, Joyce Fisher, Brenda Grover, and Laurie Grover, and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Christine Miller, daughter in law Donna Miller and stepdaughter Karen Lefebvre.



A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th at 6:00 PM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 PM until the service at 6 PM at the funeral home. A celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 5:30 PM at the Greylock Community Club, 548 State Rd. North Adams. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
