WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Bruce E. Pearson, 53, of 19 Pines Lodge died Friday evening, Feb. 7, 2003, at Williamstown Commons after a long illness.
Born in North Adams on Jan. 17, 1950, son of Alice Smith Pearson Harrington and the late Edward Warren Pearson, he attended schools there.
Mr. Pearson was last employed as a taxi driver for Veteran's Taxi Service in North Adams for 16 years, retiring in 1999.
He and his wife, the former Carol Farnam, would have been married 30 years April 7. They were married in Clarksburg.
Besides his wife and mother, of North Adams, he leaves a daughter, Debra Pearson of North Adams; a stepson, John Farnam of North Adams; two sisters, Esther Harrington and Mabel Rogowski, both of North Adams; two brothers, Russell Pearson and Edward Pearson, both of North Adams; a stepbrother, Irving Harrington Jr. of Pittsfield; four stepsisters, Barbara Harrington of Williamstown, Alma Harrington of Housatonic, Charlotte Bellard of the state of New Jersey and Marjorie Rynkowski of North Adams, and a grandson, Dallas Pearson.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mr. Pearson will be conducted Wednesday at 1 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, by the Rev. Susan Stewart, pastor of First United Methodist Church of North Adams.
Burial will take place at a later date. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Feb. 11, from 4 to 6. Memorial donations are suggested for the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
