Mary Elizabeth VanDerBiesen

Mary Elizabeth VanDerBiesen, 93, of 1757 County Route 11 in Martindale, N.Y., died Thursday at home.

where she resided with her daughter JoAnn Kromer. One of her daughters, Jeanette Wildermuth, resides in Williamstown.

Born Dec. 9, 1909, in Martindale, daughter of Robert and Catherine Harris Snow, she was a lifelong resident of the area and attended schools there.

She was employed as a seamstress at various textile mills in Philmont, N.Y. She was a member of the Philmont United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Joseph VanDerBiesen, died in 1964.

Besides her daughters, she leaves three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Friends are invited to a reception to be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 at the home of JoAnn and Hugh Kromer, 1757 County Route 11 in Martindale. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Hillsdale Rural Cemetery, Hillsdale, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Philmont Rescue Squad, Philmont, N.Y. 12565, or to Community Hospice of Columbia-Green, 47 Liberty St., Catskill, N.Y. 12414.

Arrangements are with the PECK & PECK FUNERAL HOME, Route 22, Copake, N.Y. 12516. VanDerBiesen also leaves her sons-in-law, Hugh Kromer and Richard Wildermuth; three grandchildren, Hugh J.V. Kromer of Philmont, Mark R. Wildermuth of Newport, R.I., and Peter Wildermuth of Clarksburg; six great-grandchildren, Peter Jr., Kurt, Amy, Carrie, Brittney and Hugh Matthew, and three great-great-grandchildren, Austin, Owen and Aidon.
