Norma Betty Marion

Norma Betty Marion, 73, formerly of 21 Harwood St., died Monday at Sweet Brook, where she had resided since May 2000.
Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., on July 30, 1929, daughter of Norman V. and Bertha Sieler Braun, she graduated in 1947 from Niagara Falls High School and in 1951 from Cornell University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in home economics and a teaching certificate.
She was a longtime resident of Port Washington, N.Y., and later resided in Lexington and Cotuit.
Mrs. Marion was a homemaker.
While in Port Washington, she was a member of First Congregational Church of Manhassett, N.Y., where she taught Sunday school.
In Lexington, she was a member of First Congregational Church.
She and her husband, John F. Marion, celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary June 23. They were married in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls.
Besides her husband, of Sweetwood, she leaves two daughters, Ann R. Shore of Sudbury and Lynn F. Marion of Lunenburg; a son, John L. Marion of Simsbury, Conn., and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service to celebrate the life of Norma Betty Braun Marion will be conducted Friday at 11 at First Congregational Church of Williamstown by the Rev. Carrie Bail, pastor.
Private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for Sweet Brook Care Centers through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Morris Shore; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Marion, and four grandchildren, Jessica and Stacey Marion and Sarah and Amanda Shore.
