Catherine Materne Jones, 86, died yesterday at Westminster Canterbury Health Care Unit in Richmond, Va.
She and her husband had a home in Williamstown.
Born in Utica, N.Y., on Dec. 31, 1916, she was the daughter of Harry E. and Ellen Taylor Burt.
She was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Stewart Kirk Materne Sr.
She leaves her husband, DeLancey F.J. Jones of Richmond and Williamstown; two daughters, Susie Benson and Holly Antrim, both of Richmond; one son, S. Kirk Materne Jr. of Bedminster, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Deborah Walter of Kamas, Utah; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Catherine Materne Jones will be Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at 2 at Grace & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond.
Survivors include her sons-in-law, Taylor Benson, John Mason and Richard Walter, and daughter-in-law Stuart Materne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Westminster Canterbury Fellowship Fund, 1600 Westbrook Ave., Richmond, VA 23227. BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, Richmond, is in charge of arrangements.
