Mary C. McInerney, 88, of 244 Cole Ave. died Friday at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Cambridge, N.Y., on Oct. 5, 1914, daughter of Thomas E. and Anna Plunkett McInerney, she attended schools there and was a 1935 graduate of Simmons College in Boston.
Miss McInerney was a cataloger and assistant librarian at the Williams College library for 36 years.
She formerly worked at the Providence (R.I.) Public and St. Lawrence University libraries.
Miss McInerney was a communicant of St. Patrick’s and St. Raphael’s Church.
She leaves a niece, Evelyn Mallison of Latham, N.Y.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary C. McInerney will be celebrated Thursday at 11 at St. Raphael’s Church by the Rev. Mark Burke, pastor of St. Patrick’s and St. Raphael’s Parish.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Cambridge, N.Y. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the Williamstown Food Pantry at St. Patrick’s Church, the Cambridge (N.Y.) Village Rescue Squad or to Village Ambulance in Williamstown through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas L. McInerney, in 1955.
