Homer R. Boucher

Homer R. Boucher, 82, of 118 Church St., formerly of Maple Street, died yesterday at home.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 14, 1921, son of George T. and Corinne Cote Boucher, he attended schools there, including the former Notre Dame School.
An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he served as a private first class.
Mr. Boucher was employed by Norm’s Limousine Service in North Adams from 1984 until his retirement in 1993. He also worked for the former Rudnick Cleaners for 18 years and Stone Marketing Co. in Adams for over 18 years.
He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in North Adams.
He was a member of Richard A. Ruether Post 152 American Legion and Dr. George L. Curran VFW Post 996 in North Adams. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor sports.
His wife, the former Dorothy Ames, whom he married Sept. 22, 1945, in First United Methodist Church in Pownal, Vt., died Nov. 4, 1999.
He leaves two daughters, Christine Burke of Malone, N.Y., and Valerie Haley of Williamstown; two sons, Terrance “Terry†Boucher of North Adams and Richard Boucher of Marlboro; a brother, Victor Boucher of North Adams, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Homer R. Boucher will take place Saturday at 8:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church, North Adams.
Burial will follow with military honors in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. He was predeceased by a sister and three brothers, Dora Agnes Fischlein, R. OIiver Boucher, Theodore Wilfred Laurent Boucher and Arthur Paul Boucher.
