WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Marion von Schrenck-Szill, 83, of 22 Pleasant Place died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at home.
Born in Duingen, Germany, on March 4, 1920, daughter of Gerhard and Katharina Mayer Maasen Lobenberg, she attended schools in Germany and came to the United States in 1951. She moved to Williamstown in 1980.
Mrs. Schrenck-Szill was the protocol secretary for the German consul general in New York for many years, retiring in 1980.
She worked at the Women's Exchange during the 1980s and volunteered with the Visiting Nurse Association in Northern Berkshire.
She leaves her husband, Walter von Schrenck-Szill.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Schrenck-Szill will be private at St. Raphael's Church on Friday, Nov. 14, at 11. There will be no wake.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of GEORGE M. HOPKINS FUNERAL HOME in Williamstown.
