Shannon Kathleen Gaffey, 22, of 551 South Willard St., Burlington, Vt., formerly of North Street, Williamstown, died Monday at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington from injuries resulting from a fall at her home.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 16, 1981, daughter of Matthew and Colleen Mulcahy Gaffey of Williamstown, she was a 1999 graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School.
She graduated in May from St. Michael's College in Winooski, Vt., with a degree in sociology.
Ms. Gaffey was employed at the Three Tomatoes Restaurant in Burlington.
Besides her parents, she leaves a sister, Sara Gaffey of Waterbury, Vt.; her paternal grandparents, William and Joann Gaffey of North Adams, and her maternal grandmother, Kathleen Mulcahy of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Shannon Kathleen Gaffey, who died Dec. 8, 2003, will take place Friday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Shannon Kathleen Gaffey Memorial Fund through the funeral home. Survivors include several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
