Marion A. Haley

Marion A. Haley, 86, of Center Street, Pownal, Vt., died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Susan Rebideau, where she had resided for eight months.
Born in Petersburgh, N.Y., on Nov. 15, 1917, daughter of Tracey and Waitie Goyer Jones, she was educated in Berlin, N.Y.
For many years she was employed as a housekeeper for several families in Williamstown.
Her husband, Russell D. Haley, whom she married on Sept. 10, 1936, in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., is deceased.
Besides her daughter, she also leaves two sons, Russell R. Haley of Fallsburg, N.Y., and Michael A. Haley of Williamstown; a sister, Marie Amidon of Bennington; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Kimball.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Marion A. Haley will be held from the Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at 1, with the Rev. Peter T. Elvin, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, officiating. The burial will take place in the family plot in West Lawn Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the American Legion Post 152. If friends desire, contributions in memory of Marion A. Haley may be made to either Saint Patrick's Food Pantry or the Visiting Nurse Association of Northern Berkshire through the GEORGE M. HOPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 61-67 Spring St., Williamstown, MA 01267.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and a large circle of true friends, young and old. She was also predeceased by two grandchildren, Teri Russell and Lisa Foley; a great-granddaughter, Stephanie Kimball, and a brother, Alfred T. Jones.
