Gwendolyn Barbara LePage

Gwendolyn Barbara LePage, 60, of 387 North St. died Saturday at Sweet Brook Care Centers after a long illness.

She had resided there for several years.

Born in New Ashford on Oct. 10, 1943, daughter of Ernest L. and Pearl J. Mackey Olsen Boyer, she attended schools there and was a 1961 graduate of the former Williamstown High School. She also attended Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield.

She also resided in Santa Rosa, Calif., for a time.

Mrs. LePage had been employed by Williams College, first in the security department and then in the alumni relations department. She also worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. While in Santa Rosa, she worked at White House Clothing Store.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and volunteered with many of its activities.

She was a Shaker sister at Hancock Shaker Village and enjoyed cake decorating.

She and her husband, Peter LePage, were married July 13, 1963, in St. Patrick's Church.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Air Force Maj. Michael J. LePage of Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio; a daughter, Kerri Lynn Ahrens of Granby, Conn.; two stepsisters, Helen Frye and Dorothy Brake, both of Lanesboro, and two grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Gwendolyn Barbara Boyer LePage will be held Tuesday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown.

Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Dec. 29, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire, St. Patrick's Food Pantry and Sweet Brook Care Centers Activities Fund. Survivors include two grandchildren, Courtney and Jonathan Ahrens.
