Robert R. Warriner

Robert R. Warriner, 85, died Monday at Sweet Brook Care Center.

He was a former resident of 1611 Cold Spring Road.

Born in Arthur, Neb., on Jan. 13, 1918, son of Edwin and Mabel Reckerd Warriner, he attended schools in Pierre, S.D. He earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering in 1939 from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, S.D.

He had been employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 25 years. He had first worked at Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio, and then spent 10 years at Aerouox Corp. in New Bedford.

He received recognition for 35 years of technical liaison from Rockwell-Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He represented the United States at several conferences of the International Elec-tronics Committee.

He and his wife, the former Beulah Fox, had been married 59 years.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Richard F. Warriner of Rollins Hills Estates, Calif., and a daughter, Ellen R. Warriner of Westfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Robert R. Warriner will be Saturday, Jan. 3, at 11 from the Sherman-Burbank Memorial Chapel at Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.

There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Foundation Office, 501 East St. Joseph Street, Rapid City, SD 57701-3995.

Arrangements are under the direction of the GEORGE M. HOPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 61067 Spring St., Williamstown. He also leaves his nephews, Kal Simons of South Dakota, Steven Martin of Illinois and David Martin of California.
