Ruth A. Fuleihan, 84, of 37 Woodlawn Drive died Saturday at home.
Born in New York City on Nov. 14, 1916, she was the daughter of Angie A. and Elizabeth Brace Angerole. She moved to Ashbury Park, N.J., as a child and was a 1935 graduate of Ashbury Park High School. She moved to East Orange, N.J., in 1938 and to Morris Plains, N.J., in 1955.
While in Morris Plains, she was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a member of its Altar Guild. She was a former Girl Scout leader, active in the PTA and a volunteer at Morris County Museum.
In 1984, Mrs. Fuleihan moved to Williamstown, where she was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and served on its Altar Guild. She was a volunteer at Sweet Brook Health Care Center and a member of the Williamstown Friendship Club.
Mrs. Fuleihan participated in the Elderhostel program at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams and in several summer programs for senior citizens held by the Williamstown Summer Theatre.
Her husband, Harold Fuleihan, whom she married June 4, 1938, died March 21, 1988.
She leaves a son, Arthur Fuleihan of Alstead, N.H.; a daughter, Jane F. Jenkins of Williamstown; a sister, Audrey Quinn of Westend, N.J., and four grandchildren.
An Order of Christian Burial in loving memory and thanksgiving for the life of Ruth A. Fuleihan will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Williamstown, Mass., with the Rev. Peter Elvin, rector of St. John's Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. The family will greet family and friends in the Upper Room at St. John's Episcopal Church in Williamstown on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30. Memorial donations are suggested for VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or to St. John's Episcopal Church in Williamstown through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Survivors include four grandchildren, David Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins, and Jessica and Sara Fuleihan; a son-in-law, Carl Jenkins, and a daughter-in-law, Diane Fuleihan.
