Zora M. Rozinak

Zora M. Rozinak, 80, a resident of Sweetwood Continuing Care Community, died Wednesday at Sweet Brook Care Centers.
Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, on Nov. 1, 1920, daughter of Bedrich and Karla Slezak Liska, she atended schools in Prague and was a graduate of Charles University, where she received both her bachelor's and law degrees.
Mrs. Rozinak left Czechoslovakia in 1949 and emigrated to the United States in 1952. After a brief stint as a legal assistant in New York City, she petitioned the New York State Supreme Court to become the first person admitted to the New York Bar without having attended an American law school.
Mrs. Rozinak practiced real estate law for Equitable Life Assurance Co. in New York. At the time of her retirement in 1982, she was vice president of the real estate division.
She and her husband, the late Achill Rozinak, were married in Prague in 1942. He died in 1984.
She leaves two daughters, Olga R. Beaver of Williamstown and Petra R. Emerman of Greensboro, N.C.; a brother, George Liska of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George M. Hopkins Funeral Home, 61-67 Spring St., Williamstown.
