Recollections & Sympathy For the Family

Clarence Richard Noyes is my dear beloved Grandfather. He was a fun Grandpa; always bringing us grandchildrean outside and walking about, teaching us about the garden birds, the flowers in his garden and the flora and fauna of the area. He would entertain us with stories, always with a happy joyful manner, full of smiles and joy. I loved my grampa and grandma. As a Christian missionary, My husband and I and our children moved to the Republic of Ireland to serve Him here and are still here today; thank God. He always loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. We kept in touch by phone. He called me on the phone here in Ireland shortly before his death. He remained healthy, bright and as quick minded as he was when I was growing up; even driving untill he was 99 years old. When he rang me for the last time here in Eire, he expressed how important it was to him to speak to all of his his family here,
all his great grand children. Unfortunately a couple of of them were away and in University. During that conversation I believe we both had a sense it would be the last time we'd speak this side of glory. As always we talked about our family, his Mom, our relatives, ancestors our family history. And I told him how we were all doing. While he spoke I wrote everything down as fast as I could as usual; not wanting to miss a fact or name he would give me. Family and it's history is very important to me. He loved to tell me all about our family and I loved listening and ow cherish the memory. Whenever we would talk I would praise and thank God for him; He is a wondeful man. I say, "is", because I know he is with Lord in glory, not gone, just moved on to his final home with his Saviour Jesus Christ. There is a mistake in his obituary that I want to correct. My Grandmother Lillian Noyes did not die in March 1982, it was March 1992. I know, I had been living in Ireland since March 1990. Knowing that I would sadly hear of the passing of family members over here in Ireland,I noted that sadly it was my Grandma Lillian that we lost first. She was very special to my heart as well. One thing I remember clearly is, her smile and how much she loved all her grandchildren, that she and my Grandpa loved to golf. They are both missed very much. It was an answered prayer that in the summer of 2002 Grampa was able to meet our two youngest children, our daughters he hadn't met yet. He already knew our three sons Hamish Michael, Samuel Christian and Mitchell Bennett. I believe that they were his last great grandchildren. Their names are Moriah Susan and Michelle Elizabeth. Moriah was fours years old at the time and Michelle was nearly six months old, just a small baby. What a blessing it was to put his great grandbaby into his waiting arms. He was so over joyed to hold her in his arms and to hold and chat with his great granddaughter Moriah. What a blessing it was for us all to see him and enjoy his company once again, and it blessed him as well. Praise the Lord He rang me shortly before his death. I'll never forget our last conversation. as it is very special to my heart. We will all be joined together again in the presence of our Saviour Jesus Christ and this time that we are apart will seem but a split second in time compared to our lives we will live together in glory for eternity. Thank you Lord for giving my my mother Sally such a loving caring Dad and my siblings and I such a wonderful loving Grandpa. Praise you Lord. Lord I pray you give him a special hug from my family and I. Halleljah! Amen
