Helen A. Leete, 92, a former resident of Williamstown, Andover and Deland, Fla., died Thursday at Harborside Health Care of Mashpee following a long illness.
Born in Williamstown on Jan. 20, 1912, daughter of Horace and Alexina Boyer Akey, she was educated there.
In earlier years, Mrs. Leete had been employed in the admissions department at Phillips Andover Academy.
Following her retirement in 1975, she moved to Deland, Fla., where she resided until 2000.
She was a sports enthusiast.
Her husband, Robert A. Leete Sr., whom she married Sept. 2, 1935, died in 1976.
She leaves four sons, Robert A. Leete Jr. of Manasquan, N.J., Richard Leete of South Windsor, Conn., James Leete of Sandwich and Donald Leete of East Falmouth; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by another son, Kevin Leete.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Helen A. Leete will be Monday, June 21, at 10 at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel, Williamstown. Burial will take place in the family lot in East Lawn Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to either Harborside Health Care of Mashpee or Beacon Hospice of Yarmouthport, through the office of GEORGE M. HOPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 61-67 Spring St., Williamstown, MA 01267.
Helen's family, grandchildren and home were her main interest.
