Bridget Watkins-Hannock

Bridget Watkins-Hannock, 42, of 30 Colonial Ave. died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield of a brain tumor.

Born in Cleveland on Aug. 29, 1962, daughter of Dr. James Watkins and Janet Weber Watkins of Grand Rapids, Mich.

She was a graduate of Grand Rapids (Mich.) High School and a graduate of New York University.

Mrs. Watkins-Hannock was a fund-raiser for the restoration of Madison Square Park in New York and more recently for the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams.

She also had been executive assistant to Danny Meyer, founder of Union Square Hospitality Group, which operates a number of New York restaurants, including Union Square Cafe and Gramercy Tavern.

Besides her parents, she leaves her husband, Stephen W. Hannock; a daughter, Georgia Hannock at home; a sister, Katherine Harrison of Houston; two brothers, William Watkins of Arlington, Va., and Christopher Watkins of New York City.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Bridget Watkins-Hannock will be celebrated Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at noon at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown, where a stained-glass window depicts a likeness of St. Bridget, by the Rev. Lee Smith, chaplain at Berkshire Medical Center.

Internment will be at the discretion of the family in Stony Lake, Mich. Memorial donations may be directed to Pine Cobble School, Williamstown, MA 01267 for the Bridget Watkins-Hannock Scholarship Fund.

FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include sisters-in-law Gale Watkins, Hilda Watkins and Sally Hannock; her close friend, Jefrey Bump; brother-in-law, Robin Harrison; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hannock; nieces, Kelley and Mary Harrison; nephew, William Watkins, and numerous cousins and friends.
