Beulah Warriner

Beulah Warriner, 89, of Sweetwood died Thursday at home.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, on Oct. 1, 1915, daughter of Harry F. and Florence Trentman Fox, she graduated from Kiser High School and attended the Proctor School of Music.

She moved to Williamstown with her husband, the late Robert Warriner, in 1959.

While in Dayton, Mrs. Warriner taught piano lessons and also accompanied the Williams Glee Club on piano and performed with them in the early 1960s.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church, taught the youth choirs and sang in the senior choir for more than 40 years.

While at Sweetwood, she continued to enjoy playing the piano.

She also volunteered at the Women's Exchange of Williamstown.

She leaves a son, Richard Warriner of California; a daughter, Ellen R. Warriner of Westfield, and a sister, Audrey Martin of North Carolina.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services will be from the First Congregational Church, 906 Main St., in Williamstown at 2 on Monday, Jan. 10, 2005. Burial will follow the service at Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. A reception will follow the burial at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church. Please mark them as a contribution for Beulah's Piano Fund. The fund will be used to purchase for the church her previously owned Steinway, which has recently been located. The church project to purchase this piano is currently at half its goal.

Arrangements are under the direction of the GEORGE M. HOPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 61-67 Spring St., in Williamstown. Survivors include three nephews, Steven Martin of Illinois, David Martin of California and Kal Simons of South Dakota.
