Mabel Maino, 83

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Mabel "Tootie" Maino, 83, of 92 Nutmeg Lane died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at North Adams Regional Hospital.

Born in Williamstown on Sept. 9, 1921, daughter of Frank M. and Florence E. Lee Godfrey, she graduated in 1939 from the former Williamstown High School.

Mrs. Maino was a homemaker and seamstress.

She was a longtime communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael and a member of the former Ladies' Guild at St. Patrick's Church.

An accomplished pianist, she had a great appreciation and love of music that she instilled in her children. She also enjoyed cooking.

She and her husband, Arthur J. Maino, celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary Nov. 16. They were married in St. Patrick's Church.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, David Maino and his wife, Theresa, of Elk Grove, Calif.; two daughters, Jean Taylor and her husband, Alan, of Pownal, Vt., and Linda Sweeney and her husband, Charles, of North Adams; nine grandchildren, Steven Taylor, Pamela Taylor-Paris, Lori Congdon, Robin Moore, Kelly Regis, Julie DeMarsico, April Gaskins, Anthony Sweeney and Michelle Masse, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers, Laura Godfrey, Tressa Ray, Mae Weyers, George, Archie and Robert Godfrey.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Maino will be celebrated Friday at 11 at St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown, by the Rev. Joseph Devlin. Burial will be at a later date in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Patrick's Church Food Pantry through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St. North Adams.
