Marion Belle Henderson

Marion Belle Henderson, 85, formerly of Simonds Road, died Sunday at Sweet Brook Care Centers, where she had resided for the past year.
Born in Adams on Dec. 29, 1919, daughter of Harry D. and Anna Mae Bushey Jennings, she lived in North Adams and attended schools there.
Mrs. Henderson first worked at Davis' Store in North Adams. After her marriage to Dr. Robert D. Henderson, she assisted him in his veterinary practice in Williamstown.
She collected Early American pine furnishings and other antiques.
She also frequented auctions and flea markets, acquiring items that she could restore and refinish.
She and her husband were married 56 years.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Martha Henderson of Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Private burial for Marion Belle Jennings Henderson will be in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for the Salvation Army Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main Street, North Adams, MA 01247.
As a special remembrance of Marion's life, find something old and refurbish it and treasure it as a symbol of a simpler time. Survivors include several neices and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Edith May Oldham, Anna Evelyn Leonard and Grace Elizabeth McGowan, and by her brother, Milford Francis "Bill" Jennings.
