POWNAL, Vt. — Hazel Emily Rondot, 92, of Route 346 died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at Williamstown (Mass.) Commons.
Born in Chesterfield, N.Y., on May 6, 1913, daughter of Albert and Louise Hull Pray, she attended schools in Keeseville, N.Y.
Mrs. Rondot was employed for a short time by the former Cornish Wire Co. and then worked as a domestic for families in New York and Williamstown.
She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Pownal, a member of Order of Eastern Star in Williamstown and a longtime member of Williamstown Grange 366.
Her husband, Francis George Rondot, whom she married July 7, 1946, died in 1979.
She leaves four stepdaughters, Barbara Fantone of Hartford, Conn., and Ocala, Fla., Rose Almond of Bay St. Louis, Miss., Margaret "Bunny" Palmer of Williamstown and Joan Greer of Burleson, Texas; a brother, John Pray of Keeseville; 12 stepgrandchildren, and 22 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Harry and Walter Pray.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Mrs. Rondot, who died Jan. 22, 2006, will take place at a later date at First United Methodist Church in Pownal, Vt. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for the Village Ambulance or First United Methodist Church of Pownal, Vt., through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247 which is in charge of arrangements.
