Gertrude Stella Noel

Gertrude Stella Noel, 86, of 25 Adams Road, Williamstown Commons, died there Saturday.

She had resided there for five years.

Born in Clarksburg on April 10, 1919, daughter of William and Agnes Daniels Davine, she attended schools in North Adams.

Mrs. Noel was employed as site director in the kitchen of the Spitzer Center in North Adams. Before that, she worked for several years at the former Sprague Electric Co., also in North Adams.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in North Adams

Her husband, Stanley W. Noel, whom she married Aug. 31, 1951, died July 7, 1987.

She leaves a son, Clinton L. Hall of Claremont, N.H.; a daughter, Marilyn J. Daub of North Adams; a sister, Shirley Briggs of North Adams; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Gertrude S. Noel will take place at a later date in First Baptist Church, North Adams. Burial also will take place at a later date in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, or the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Northern Berkshire, through AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by a son, Clinton L. Hall, and his wife, Barbara, of Claremont, N.H.; a daughter, Marilyn J. Daub, and her husband, Roger, of North Adams; four grandchildren, Kenneth Hall and his wife, Jo-Ann, of Rockland; Karen Hall of Gray, Maine; Michele Hall of Kentucky, and Jeffrey Daub of North Adams; two great-grandchildren, Kenneth and Amanda Hall, both of Rockland; a sister, Shirley Briggs of North Adams, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, James and John Davine, and by two sisters, Olive Blair and Mabel Davine.
