Inez Marie Roe

Inez Marie Roe, 79, of 64 Henderson Road died Saturday at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Providence, R.I., on April 20, 1926, daughter of Frank and Mabel Logan Walters, she was a 1943 graduate of St. Patrick's High School there.
She moved to this area in 1968.
Mrs. Roe was employed by Williamstown Public Library as a librarian.She was an authority on mystery books and was regarded as an expert selector of books for library users, continuing to recommend books well after her retirement. Upon her retirement, the library held an "Inez Roe Day" in her honor.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and a Boston Red Sox fan.
She and her husband, George A. Roe, were married Sept. 2, 1950, in Providence.
Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Susan Healy of East Hampton, Conn., Patricia Miranda of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Barbara Roe Villanueva of Greenfield and Alison O'Grady of Williamstown, and four grandchildren.
Another daughter, Nancy Beverly, died Sept. 22, 2000.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Inez Roe, who died April 8, 2006, will be private. A celebration of her remarkable life will be held at a later date.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Milne Public Library, 1095 Main St. Williamstown, MA 01267, for the Mystery Collection. FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247 is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include sons-in-law, Henry Healy, Michael Miranda and Brian O'Grady, and four grandchildren, Samantha Healy of East Hampton, Conn., Nathaniel Miranda of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Elizabeth and Meghan O'Grady, both of Williamstown.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting and musical events.
